I guess it’s time for another great online menu and printable grocery lists combo. It’s been a while. Unfortunately, I had to take a break due to health issues, but I’m feeling much better and appreciate your patience and prayers. I still might not be ready to post every week, but maybe soon. We’ll see.
Some of you know that I cook at the senior center locally part time. Lately, everyone has been donating all the excess produce from their gardens and I am just amazed at how much people can grow here in Idaho. I never had much success with stuff like melons, cabbage, and onions, but there are buckets coming in each day. And tomatoes and zucchini like you wouldn’t believe.
So, in honor of harvest time, I’m dedicating these printable grocery lists and menus to harvest from your garden…or maybe your neighbor’s garden. Whatever the case may be. Enjoy a slice of Zucchini bread hot from the pan with melted butter on top for me. And maybe rent the movie, Ratatouille, on the night you cook it for dinner. Your kids will love you for making it! And they’ll enjoy the movie more knowing that it’s actually a food, even if they’ve already got it memorized from watching it so much. Who knows, it could become one of their favorite memories, like the time my mom cooked Zucchini Bisque and we all ate it out of hollowed out Zucchini halves.
